EL Vigilante slot game takes us on a trip to California in the 1840s. This is the period in history when the Sunshine State was still under Mexican rule, and some of the inhabitants were pushing for independence and the establishment of the Republic of California.

This never happened, of course, but the period was one of adventure and action and has been the inspiration of many films, stories, and indeed slots, including this latest release by Kalamba Games.

The graphics are great, with the 5×3 grid with 20 fixed paylines set against the background of a Mexican village. We can see guns and dynamite propped up against the bullet-riddled walls of the town church as the sun sets over this deserted scene.

The classic Western theme soundtrack, which gives way to a mariachi band when wins hit, adds to the atmosphere perfectly.

The village might be deserted, but plenty of characters are popping up on the reels as premium symbols. There are two attractive senoritas, although one is sporting a pair of six-shooters and a couple of blood-thirty banditos. The Wild is a military officer with crossed swords. And the scatter is El Vigilante himself, a masked Zorro-type figure on a rearing horse.

Game Features

K-Cash respins are the main attraction in El Vigilante. When six or more gold K-cash coins land anywhere on the grid, the K-cash respins feature is triggered. This gives three respins with triggering symbols locked.

Win multipliers can land in other positions. When a K-cash symbol subsequently lands in one of these positions, its value is increased by the level of the multiplier. And each extra gold K-cash coin that lands will reset the respins counter to three.

There is also a mini bonus which is awarded if all multiplier positions are covered by a K-cash coin. The major bonus is awarded when all positions on the grid hold a K-cash symbol.
