Hacksaw Gaming Obtains a Swedish iGaming License
Chris Grand |One of the fastest-growing iGaming content providers Hacksaw Gaming never rest on its laurels and the latest announcement serves as proof.
Just recently, Hacksaw Gaming said in a statement that it has expanded its European reach by securing a B2B license from the Swedish Gambling Authority.
With this license, Hacksaw Gaming can now supply its portfolio of games which includes the likes of Wanted Dead or a Wild, Hand of Anubis, Dork Unit, and plenty more to all operators in Sweden.
A Stronger Foothold in Europe
These developments will surely cement Hacksaw’s position in the European market, especially considering it went live with Sweden’s Glitnor Group just last month. With that partnership, a wide range of the provider’s games was made available at world-class casino sites such as Vulkan Bet and Verde Casino.
Therefore, no one should really be surprised to see that there is plenty of excitement within Hacksaw Gaming.
In that line, Marcus Cordes, who is the CEO of Hacksaw, said that the company now has a head-start in the Swedish market thanks to them acting fast.
He continues by saying that everyone in Hacksaw is delighted to be among the first providers to secure a license from SGA, so they look forward to building from a position of strength. Cordes finishes his statement by saying that Hacksaw will now seek to secure more partnership agreements with top-tier Swedish operators.
The license from the Swedish Gambling Authority is just another one in the mix for Hacksaw Gaming. The content provider already boasts several other licenses from reliable regulators, such as:
- MGA
- UKGC
- Isle of Man
- Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
Besides these licenses, Hacksaw Gaming’s titles have certification in several other jurisdictions, so the company’s worldwide reach is something to admire here.
The Purpose of Sweden’s New Regulation
These new regulations in Sweden took place in March 2023. With then, all online casino game providers that seek to target Swedish players need to submit an application for a B2B license.
As you can imagine, this new framework has completely changed the way online gambling is taking place at licensed sites. Now, with the new legislation, there is a much stronger emphasis on the players’ welfare.
You can also find an additional explanation by the SGA dating back to 2022 when it said that the purpose of the license requirement is to eliminate illegal online gambling. There is simply no place for unlicensed game providers in Sweden, so Hacksaw Gaming was quick to react to these changes.
