Spain’s Online Gambling Revenue Continues to Rise in QR with €315.3 Million
Chris Grand |The online gambling gross revenue in Spain continues its growing trend. In Q4 2023, it increased by 0.6%, which doesn’t look like much, but amounted to a total of €315.3 million.
The number of money deposited went up as well, which shows that the online gambling industry is doing live and well in Spain.
One of the driving forces behind the increased revenue were online casinos. Sports Betting and Poker were right behind, although it’s clear that Spaniards prefer slots and casino games to sports betting, at least online.

Deposits Up as Well
According to experts, the rise in global online gambling revenue was to be expected. What came as a surprise is the rise of deposits. The total deposits in Q4 2023 went up by 9.4% compared to the same period a year before. That translates to €1.04 billion, which means there’s growing interest for online gaming.
Operators spent more money on promotions and advertising as well, which is in line with the increase in revenue and total deposits. By the end of 2023, there were a total of 78 licensed operators in Spain.
To break things down, 49 of them offer casino games, 43 offer sports betting, 9 of them offered poker, 3 offer bingo, and 2 offer contests.
