Books and Pearls: Re-spins of Amun-Re Slot Game | Gamomat Slots

The Books and Pearls: Re-spins of Amun-Re is a slot machine from a German game developer called Gamomat. It’s a sequel to the original Books and Pearls, with the addition of their infamous ROAR mechanic.

Like the original, Books and Pearls: Re-spins of Amun-Re is themed around pirates and booty – but what struck us as unusual is that the ROAR feature is Egyptian-themed – so there’s a bit of a mix-up here!

The Books and Pearls: Re-spins of Amun-Re is built around a 5-reel, 3-row format with 10 adjustable paylines. The fact that the paylines are adjustable means it’s possible to bet as little as 0.1 credit per spin.

The game’s maximum bet can go as high as 100 credits depending on the casino you’re playing at. Books and Pearls: Re-spins of Amun-Re has an RTP of 96.1%, which is excellent.

Graphically, like the original, Books and Pearls ROAR is very basic. The game’s low-value symbols are playing card values, including 10, jack, queen, king, and ace, and they don’t pay much – even for a 5-of-a-kind combo. The higher-paying symbols are all theme-specific and include a Ship’s Wheel, an Anchor, a Pirate, and a Ship.

Game Features

There are three bonuses and features to be found in Books and Pearls: Re-spins of Amun-Re. Firstly, there’s the game’s main free spins bonus round.

This is triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view, and doing so will award you with 10 free spins. The free spins bonus round is a classic “Book of” bonus, so before the free spins begin, one symbol is randomly chosen to expand.

During the free spins, each time you land three or more instances of the chosen symbol, they will expand to cover the entire reel that they land on. You can also re-trigger the bonus round by landing another 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view. Doing so will award you with 10 extra free spins.

The main highlight of Books and Pearls ROAR is, of course, the re-spin mechanic. This is triggered by landing five or more special scatter symbols in the base game. Doing so will award you 3 re-spins, cash values and jackpots, then spin on your screen.

Landing any in view will reset your re-spin counter to three, and once the bonus round is finished, you’ll win all the values on your screen.

Finally, there’s the gamble bonus. Gamomat’s slots often feature a special gamble function, and Books and Pearls: Re-spins of Amun-Re is no exception. After any winning combo, you can gamble your win for the opportunity to win even more.

There are two types of gamble features: the card-picking game, where you must correctly guess the colour or suit of a facedown card, and the ladder game, where you just press a button to try and climb a ladder and increase your winnings.
